Should we have Humans in Antilia

Perhaps make humans an extinct race. The technology is the only thing left of them, and that could play it to some rather intriguing dungeons or something.

That's also a somewhat cliche concept. The technologically-advanced-race-that-died-out-or-mysteriously-vanished-a-long-time-ago-and-left-cool-steampunk-ish-or-sci-fi-dungeons-for-us-to-explore thing has been done more times than I care to count, including in such popular recent games as the Halo series and Skyrim. Not to say that's a bad idea to be emulating, mind you, it's just that it's not really very original.

Heh, there're only so many ways to explain "lost technology," a reason why I don't really enjoy the concept as much as I used to.
Sorry but I think too many current games have done/are doing this. :/ Not to say I wouldn't enjoy the concept if if includes something at least slightly original.

Also done by Assassin's Creed, no?

My opinion is this: If this MMO does not occur on Earth then there should not be (nor ever have been) humans on the planet. Old technology would have been made by the mythical anthropomorphics of Forra (gryphons, ancient dragons, nightmares, manticores, etc.) if they had existed at all (I don't know since it is Jeff's world; not ours.)

But please PLEASE do not add humans.

It was also pretty much the main thrust behind "Inherit The Earth".

I am inclined to agree with Timesheart. If it's not set on Earth, there's no real reason to have humans. If the races were brought into existence by god-pairs, then the idea of lost tech is somewhat moot. The only feasible sources would be that this is not the first time the god-pairs have done this sort of thing and there are leftovers from previous races, or the current denizens had some sort of tech before the disaster which led to their exodus and eventual shipwreck and no one who survived the event really knows how to replicate, repair, or operate it. Though that's bordering a bit on Final Fantasy X.

I also want to take this moment to state, for the record, that I'm still working my way through the canon. So if I've made reference to something that doesn't jibe, please pardon me.

Although speculating is a lot of fun, it's probably time to go ahead and say that for the record - especially since there are plenty of games out there with such - humanity (or the various knockoffs therein with pointy ears, skin tones, and statures) won't make an appearance in this setting at all. It's set on an alien world with a sister planet around a bifurcated magical star - not exactly anywhere near humanity's current known addresses. There are at least two other major player races planned, which will have subraces as the Taipii are designed, but those won't skirt any closer to human-designs than the current ones do.
