I can download, and extract the files. I click on the game client, the start up window shows and it tries to download files. That's when Norton AntiVirus 360 Sonar stops and removes the file that's triggering it. It's most likely just be a bug causing it look like it's up to no good. Please understand, I know this is a new game, and I want to help, but I won't risk deactivating it, Norton might have a hissy fit and and I won't due to fursonal sercuity. I can restore the file, but not untill I know it's OK.
Good luck. =3

This is a problem with norton, it has this problem with other perfectly fine games as well, and is one of the reasons why norton is one of the worst anti-virus in existence. There's not much that can be done to get Norton to not throw a fit over it as far as I know, but it is good to know this. The only thing you can really do is add it to norton's exception list, or get a better anti-virus(I recommend the latter).

Norton hasn't really caused me much trouble, Kalius. So far the only MMO it questioned as a threat was Neo Steam (games broken and nearly impossible to really play anyway). That was a few years back. Beyond that, mine has been very tame. Even prevented trojan attacks. I just see it as a personal preference to keep or remove Norton.
Hey crashbang, anyway you can shrink the picture? It stretches everything on the page, including the quick replay box.

OMNOMNOM and MINEMINEMINE! If I don't respond in-game, I probably dozed off because of the music. Contact me again in about an hour or two.

I had problems with Norton all the time when I used it, generally with games that were brand new, or foreign(wouldn't let me run Tales of Eternia Online at all).

Norton has far from the worst anti-malware software (though I have a great dislike for it), but it does get a good bit of false positives, and like some others it might block a program with certain characteristics because it can't identify it. Not the least bit surprising with an alpha client. You should be able to allow that file as an exception if you're fine with doing so; probably under file actions. You certainly don't need to disable Norton to run the game.
EDIT: So, after looking up 'file insight' (which it apparently is using to determine the risk of the file) it seems that it's largely based on how common a file is, and how recently it has appeared on the internet. they call it 'reputation' based or some such thing.
TL;DR looks like Norton is just wigging out because it doesn't recognize the file or publisher basically.

I could see why Norton would conclude such: Antilia does connect to the internet to download files, and like it says - it isn't a common executable (a few dozen people are running it, etc.)

Oddly enough, my Webroot SecureAnywhere also detected suspicious activity when I tried to run the client. I told it to be quiet and sit in the corner until it has a real problem to tell me about.

Scanners that look for 'suspicious' activity - not just known viruses - are likely to flag Antilia until it is digitally signed and more common. It does, afterall connect to the internet and auto-patch itself (which is slightly suspicious if you're looking for 'troublesome' apps.).
In case anyone is worried, I've submitted the client to various online scanning tools, such as this one, which scans the file with 20 different virus/malware scanners.
