PC Technical Spec Roll Call

Kriss Spire

Id like to get a short list of what Motherboard, Video card and System Memory

Motherboard
CPU Type: 1.8 ghz Intel
Number of Memory Slots: 3
Memory Standard: 1.25gb
Maximum Memory Supported: 3gb
Model #:

Video card: AGP 8X GeForce 6200
Chipset Manufacturer:
Core Clock: 400 MHz
Stream Processors:
Effective Memory:512mb GDDR2
DirectX: 9.0c
OpenGL:
HDMI:
DisplayPort: analog

I’m going to give my specs when I get back home. I managed to get 2 FPS in game! So I have a long way to go.

What should be the in game FPS and at what graphic level? I was looking for the game requirements and how I can't find them. Anyone have a link?

If you have a car that can go the speed of light, don't bother to turn the headlights on.

Kris....the link you posted in the Video Cards thread...is a good card, but will not work on the motherboard you listed here. You are using an AGP slot on this motherboard, and the one you linked in the other thread is using a PCI-E. Very Different Creatures all the way around. I do know that the Nvidia 7 series is mostly shader 3.0. I know that some of the 6 series is as well. Your Geforce 6200 lists as a shader 3.0, maybe try some updated drivers or windows memory tweaks to improve the performance? As for getting a newer card, try the following links...

www.compusa.com/applications/Category/guidedSearch.asp?CatId=28&sel=Detail%3B55_158_2872_2872 Look at the Nvidia 8400GS, GT430 and Radeon x1550, hd3450, hd5450 models with 512MB or more of memory. I've already looked these up and they are shader 3.0 or higher.

www.pricewatch.com/video_cards/ Look down at the bottom at the nvidia 7 series list, and middle column near the top - it lists a couple AGP cards that are 1gb, the 512MB might work but you'll need to do homework on them to make sure they are shader 3.0.

I am planning a system upgrade. Have a one-load copy of W7home, will get a 1tb hard drive, but the video card escapes me as to which one I should get. My standards, as this will likely by my system for a very long time, start at 1G vram. What cards have Pixel Shader 4? (that's the requirement here, right?) I will also be playing MWO, so my card has to be able to play both.

What should I get if I am doing both these games?

Unless they already have a means of collecting the data for what system everyone is running. Let's all post a simple run down of our computer builds.

Operating System
Processor
Ram
Video Card
Sound Card
Game Controller being used, if any

Hard drives are not really a worry, don't need to know how many you have, or their sizes. Your network card is not needed either because let's face it, if it was that flaky you wouldn't be here either. Likewise, any other peripherals on your system are not really a worry since they are not needed to play the game.

Just set up a newer, somewhat better (on average, than what I had before) comp to test.
(Got a board, case, mobo, and cpu for free! Only had to buy a PSU, and a stick o' RAM!)

OS: Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit
Processor: i7-920 2.67 Ghz
Ram: 8 Gb (still need to grab some more...)
Video Card: GeForce GT 640 (Huzzah! Upgraded a bit, from the 8400GS!)
Sound Card: Onboard
Game Controller: Logitech or 360 Controller (still have to config xpadder for antilia)

I'm still planning on having a few much slower, older comps to test as well... gotta know what the low[est] end can handle! :D
