I get an error message "the application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close the application."
This was after I dowloaded the latest DirectX redistributable package and manually moved the required dll file to the appropriate location.
What I don't understand is why am I getting a message that is basically saying invalid image format?
I haven't done anything other than move a few files around without even touching stuff in the antilia client, what in the world -is- or could have corrupted?

You shouldn't need to (or want to) manually move any dll files around... the redistributable should install them exactly where they need to go...
Perhaps try running the redistributable package again so everything is where it should be.

I tried this as well but when I run the redistributable it doesn't specify anywhere to put the files contained within it.
I don't know if this would have anything to do with that (though I seriously doubt it) but I run on windows7 64-bit
EDIT:
nevermind! I figured out what I was doing wrong. I had to extract the files of the redistributable to a new folder and then I had to locate the setup and run it to install everything correctly.
>< Boy do I sure feel like a utter derp right now...
sorry about that.
